Faith Abiola Oyedepo Foundation

During the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, the poor, needy and hungry were well catered for. He couldn’t bear the thought of the hungry going home the same way, as they came to Him. That was why, in spite of the seeming insufficiency of two loaves and five fishes, in the face of five thousand men in John 6:5-13, Jesus provoked heaven to the miracle of multiplication that fed the 5,000 men and yet gathered twelve baskets as remnants.

So, caring for the poor is not just an idea of man; it is one of the ordinances God gave us to walk in. The scripture says:

And the king shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. (Matthew 25:31- 40)

Looking around us today, in our immediate environment and the world at large, there are many less privileged, needy, orphans, sick and widows. This set of people occupy a special place in the heart of God. God did not only make provision for the spiritual needs of man, but also for his physical needs as well. He blesses us for the primary reason that we be a blessing to these set of people. That is why He expressly instructs:

If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: (Deut. 15:7)

It is for this reason that the Faith Abiola Oyedepo Foundation presently exists. It is a medium that is reaching out to cater for the welfare of the needy, the less privileged, the orphans, widows and the sick in the remote areas of Nigeria and other nations of the earth. Faith Abiola Oyedepo Foundation is therefore, an extension of God's loving arm to mankind.

The foundation provides healthcare facilities for the poor, the needy and the sick. It also provides scholarships for the less privileged, and caters for the widows and the orphans. Various lectures - both secular and spiritual - are being organized for schools and institutions, which will provide adequate education that will positively enhance the lives of people both in and out of school. There is also a forum, by this foundation, to counsel and provide guidance to any needy hand.

Jesus cared for the needy, he never sent away the hungry without food and his expectation is that we should walk in His stead, in caring for these less privileged. The Faith Abiola Oyedepo Foundation is therefore established to walk after Jesus' example.
